There is more routine nonreligious circumcision going on than most people appreciate. Some Canadian and Australian boys are still routinely circumcised, often in the offices of pediatricians who specialise in circumcising infants. Some British baby boys with Moslem parents are circumcised at birth. Most South Korean boys are circumcised between the ages of 10 and 16, with some circumcised at birth in the American style. The reasons are the usual phoney hygiene and health ones. Almost all Filipino boys are circumcised around 7 to 9 years of age, for reasons having nothing to do with religion or tribal initiations.; May 23, 2011 at 11:22 PM
